DESCRIPTION:Charles Cournoyer Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament\n\nEvent Coordinator: Jim and Judy Cournoyer\n860-617-5686\n\njudy_cournoyer@yahoo.com \n\nEvent Description: We lost our son to mental illness in 2009. Since then\, we hold an annual golf event to raise funds for scholarships. We award scholarships to students going into the mental health field or environmental science. Our son had been studying to be an environmental police officer before he became ill. Mental illness is a very sad illness\, often hiding itself from even some of the patient’s closest friends. We use this event as a venue to educate people about mental illness. It is an illness of the brain. Unfortunately\, there is a stigma surrounding this illness of the brain. We strive to remove that stigma. Thus far we have awarded over $30\,000 in scholarships. \n \n12:00 noon Registration and lunch!\n1:30 pm Scramble format\nDinner to Follow\nCOMPETITION PRIZES\n50/50 RAFFLE\nOTHER DRAWINGS\nAll proceeds will benefit the\n‘Charles Cournoyer Memorial Scholarship’\n \n\n\nDOWNLOAD BROCHURE
